Veteran F4 team and driver have sights set on the series title
Looking to build on the momentum gained in the last half of the 2018 season and make a run at the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda championship in 2019, Kent Vaccaro signed a deal to rejoin Momentum Motorsports.
"Returning to Momentum Motorsports is like coming home from vacation," states Vaccaro. "Everything is familiar and natural and should provide us a leg up on the competition as we enter the 2019 racing season. I am confident in our program, personnel, and overall package and know that we can fight for race wins, podiums and the series title. We have already completed miles of testing and have a lot more planned over the winter months."
Finishing in points scoring position in five of the last six events this season, Vaccaro claimed multiple top-ten results including a pole position at New Jersey Motorsports Park and a run from outside the top-thirty to sixth in the same event weekend. Gaining experience with each passing lap, Vaccaro developed an excellent working relationship with the team engineer as the duo have fine-tuned their F4 cars to produce race-winning packages.
"I am happy and excited to have Kent back with Momentum Motorsports again in 2019," explained Team Owner Phil Picard. "Kent is a young driver, yet a veteran now in the series, and has really helped bring our program along. He will be a great teammate for our second and third drivers and be able to assist them in getting up to speed quickly."
With multiple test days planned, Momentum Motorsports can also confirm that they will engage in a multi-car effort in 2019. With three F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda F4 cars at their disposal, unique programs can be put in place for drivers looking to get behind the wheel or make their move from karts to cars.
Picard adds, "We have purchased a toterhome and are continuing to evolve and expand our program. With testing opportunities available, we are searching for drivers to round out our 2019 efforts. Whether it be arrive and drive or customer owned material, we can design packages that fit your needs."
Completing a test this week at the Sebring International Raceway in Sebring, Florida, Momentum Motorsports will enjoy very little time off before hitting the track in both Louisiana and Texas as part of their off-season plans.
