Completing the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda Series Test yesterday, New Yorker Dylan Tavella and his 'Ride With Dylan' initiative will enter the fourth event weekend in the North American based series this weekend. Taking on the Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, Pennsylvania, the series, teams, competitors and spectators will get their first glimpse of the Ride With Dylan branded #14 in the triple header race weekend.
"I am really happy with the way the car came out," explained Tavella. "The support in the fight against children's leukemia has been incredible and I am honored to have so many faces on my car this coming weekend."
While Tavella has shown to be consistent in his 2018 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda rookie campaign with Miller Vinatieri Motorsports (MVM), he will be looking to ramp up his speed and progress this coming weekend in Pennsylvania.
Tavella continued, "We had a good test on Monday and Tuesday and I really worked on my technique to ensure I am driving the car properly. Working with MVM engineer Tim Neff has been good as he is very knowledgeable and has a ton of experience. He really elevates the whole program and is great help to both myself and Jack."
From racing cars this weekend to karts next weekend, Tavella will enter the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SummerNationals at the ultra fast New Castle Motorsports Park. Joining the potent PSL Karting squad and competing aboard a BirelART chassis, Tavella will enter the X30 Senior division in his quest for race wins and podium results.
"I have only done one karting event in 2018 and am looking forward to seeing all my friend's trackside," continued Tavella. "While I won't have a Ride With Dylan branded kart, I will be promoting the charity in every way possible off the track."
