F4 U.S. Joins Superkarts! USA in The Big Easy

The Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda will ring-in the new year in Louisiana, hosting its first official test weekend of the season at NOLA Motorsports Park. The test will coincide with the Superkarts! USA Texas Prokart Challenge season opener Feb. 25-26.

“As we enter our second year for the F4 U.S. Championship, we felt it was important to put together a test venue to better enable our teams to prepare for the upcoming season,” said SCCA Pro Racing Vice President Steve Oseth. “F4 bridges the gap between karts and cars, and the fact that SKUSA is also conducting an event at NOLA that weekend, added to the attractiveness for our partners and teams.”

The NOLA test will be the first of two official test weekends for the FIA supported championship. The second weekend will be held mid-season at a to-be-determined location. A portion of each test weekend will be spent in the classroom where drivers will participate in educational driver development seminars.

The Series test at NOLA will be our first opportunity to meet many of these young drivers,” Oseth said. “As such it will be their first opportunity to experience benefits of our partners Honda, Pirelli Tires, Onroak Automotive and JRi Shocks.  The driver development courses will extend beyond the obvious on-track learning experiences but also to gain insight into off-track responsibilities with sponsors, PR and engineers.”
