Cole Medeiros Takes First-Career Pole in F4 U.S. Debut

AVONDALE, La. (April 10, 2026) – Cole Medeiros secured his first-career Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) pole at NOLA Motorsports Park on Friday afternoon. Recording a 1:39.902 lap, the Canadian driver took the pole with a 0.032-second advantage over second-place qualifier Zach Fourie (No. 15 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422). Caleb Campbell (No. 68 Steele Auto Group / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422) qualified third.

With two practice sessions earlier in the day, Luca Day (No. 54 Zimperium / Momentum Motorsports Ligier JS F422) topped the sheets during the morning session, leading Medeiros by 0.012 seconds. Meanwhile, Fourie ranked third. 

In Practice 2, Fernando Rivera (No. 16 Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F422) led the way, with the eventual pole sitter just 0.138 seconds behind in second, and Fourie in third.
