January 5, 2026 – Momentum Motorsports is pleased to announce that Luca Day will compete in the 2026 Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.), racing under the Momentum Motorsports banner in partnership with MLT Motorsports. After completing his first season in Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC), Day takes the next step in his open-wheel career.
“I’m extremely excited to join Momentum Motorsports for the 2026 F4 U.S. Championship,” explained Day. “The team has been incredible to work with, and I’m really looking forward to starting the season with testing in New Orleans this March. Racing at tracks like NOLA Motorsports Park, Road America, Mid-Ohio, New Jersey Motorsports Park, Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, VIR, and finishing the year at Barber Motorsports Park is something I’ve been working toward. I’m confident we can fight for strong results throughout the season.”
Momentum Motorsports Team Owner Phil Picard expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Day to the program.
“We’re very excited to have Luca join our F4 U.S. lineup for 2026,” added Picard. “He showed strong progression and maturity during his first season in Ligier JFC, and we believe he has the talent and work ethic to be a consistent contender at the F4 level. Our team is looking forward to continuing his development and helping him reach his goals this season.”
During his rookie campaign in Ligier JFC, Day secured points finishes in multiple events, highlighted by an impressive fifth-place result, showcasing his pace and race craft against a competitive field. The move to F4 U.S. represents a major progression, with the 2026 season offering the opportunity to fight for race wins, podium finishes, pole positions, and the opportunity to earn valuable FIA Super License points.
Day will build on the foundation established in 2025 alongside Driver Coach Quinlan Lall, Team Owner Phil Picard, and the entire Momentum Motorsports organization, continuing a focused development path aimed at long-term success in formula racing.
