MILLVILLE, N.J. (August 2, 2025) – Driving for MLT Motorsports, Alex Popow (No. 55 Dr. Michael Thompson MS DDS PPLS / MLT Motorsports Ligier JS F422) took the pole in Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) competition at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP). Kekai Hauanio (No. 29 N-E-Where Transport / Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F422) trailed just 0.202 seconds behind and will start today’s race from the outside front row.

F4 U.S. competitors had a chance to get on track Friday for two practice sessions, which saw Popow, Cooper Shipman (No. 14 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422) and as the fastest cars on track. With Popow topping the charts in Practice 1, Hauanio was just 0.341 seconds off the pace in second, and Shipman in third. In Practice 2, Shipman was fastest with a 0.242-second advantage, while Popow ranked second and Hauanio third.

Race 1 goes green for F4 U.S. today at 5:05 p.m. ET.
