Atlantic Racing Team is proud to announce that it has signed Daniel Quimby of Australia on the brand new Ligier JS F422 "Gen 2" car, a switch from the 160-hp Ligier F4 he drove in the Western USA Winter Series.
“Having seen Daniel in the Western Winter Series, he made a tremendous impression on us,” says Lucas Strackerjan, Team Engineer. “Now we are fortunate to have him as one of our two cadre drivers. Daniel will be running the newly developed Ligier JS F422 'Gen 2' car in the FIA-sanctioned F4 U.S. Championship six-race series, in addition to testing in and running a couple of national races during the summer break.”
After a short winter break, Daniel Quimby, and his teammate James Lawley, in his Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) Ligier JS F3 car, will test at the Motorsport Ranch near Dallas, Texas, at Carolina Motorsport Park and at California's Buttonwillow until the start of the Western Winter Season, with the FIA Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) to follow in 2024.
Atlantic Racing Team’s 2024 season will have one seat available for the newly-created Ligier JS F4 Series, as well as one in FR Americas utilizing the Ligier JS F3 car, with testing starting in January 2024.
In 2024, both drivers will have the opportunity to work as FIA-approved driving instructors for corporate events in Atlantic Racing Team’s Formula BMW venues, if time allows.
