It’s Championship Weekend for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport at the Circuit of the Americas

October 31, 2023  It could be a history making weekend in Austin, Texas for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport as they take on the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) for their final event of the season with the opportunity to earn four championship titles. Bringing a staggering 13 competitors to COTA for the final race in 2023, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport will aim to earn both the FR Americas and F4 United States Championship driver titles to go along with their already claimed Team titles in both open wheel classes.

“It has been an unforgettable season, and we will look to cap it off in style at our home event,” expressed Teena Larsen. “We are double team champions in 2023 and will aim to be double driver champions as well and sweep the proceedings.”

Heading into the season ending event, the FR Americas Championship battle will have a home at Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport, it just depends on who’s name will be on it. Entering the weekend, Callum Hedge controls the table and is a mere couple of points away from earning his first title on American soil while teammate Ryan Shehan sits second. With the only two competitors mathematically eligible for the title, it is guaranteed that Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport will have their name on the championship trophy to go along with the Team Championship as well.

Joining Hedge and Shehan will be the most recent FR Americas race winner in Cooper Becklin who had a breakout victory at the VIRginia International Raceway a few weeks ago as well as Kevin Janzen and Max Hewitt. Manuel Rosa will return to the squad after being absent from the VIR event weekend as he will be joined by Jake Bonilla who will make the jump to FR Americas after competing in the F4 US program throughout the 2022 season. With seven drivers flying the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport banner, the odds of another good weekend are in their favor.

Entering the final event in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda season, Canadian Patrick Woods-Toth is at the top of the championship standings as he looks to make it four for four for the Crosslink Kiwi squad. Titus Sherlock and Jesse Lacey sit third and fifth in the championship standings entering the weekend and have the shot to move forward and potentially make it a 1 – 2 – 3 finish in the series title chase for Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport. With all three drivers knowing that they will need a solid weekend of competition, they will look to help one another but also aim for success for themselves as the series winds down. Joining the three title protagonists will be female competitor Hannah Greenemeier, Jett Bowling, and Alex Benavitz as all six drivers will look to finish the season strong.

In a three-day weekend that will see competitors on track Thursday through Saturday, the 2023 race season will come to a close and Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport is hoping that it comes to an end with four championship titles.
