Michael Costello Secures F4 U.S. Pole for the NOLA SpeedTour

AVONDALE, La. (March 11, 2023) – Michael Costello secured his first-career pole in Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.) in his first-career start on Saturday morning at NOLA Motorsports Park. With a lap time of 1:41.917, Costello (No. 19 Jay Howard Driver Development / CSU One Cure / Lucas Oil / LHP Ligier JS F4) sat atop the leaderboard for most of the session to take the pole position with a 0.466-second advantage over second-place Titus Sherlock (No. 31 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4).

Carl Bennett (No. 9 Gonella Racing Ligier JS F4) who topped the leader board during the first few minutes of the session, was ranked third by the checkered flag, followed by Patrick Woods-Toth (No. 27 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4) in fourth and Nico Ambiado (No. 51 Scuderia Buell Ligier JS F4) in fifth.
