November 2, 2022 – Returning home from Donington Park and the final GB4 event of the 2022 season, Carl Bennett is now set to conclude his American campaign this coming weekend at the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda finale. Traveling to Austin, Texas, and the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), Bennett will take on the 20-turn, 3.41-mile facility for the final three races of the year.
Racing out of the Gonella Racing camp, Bennett has scored championship points in four of the last five races as he heads to COTA looking for more. With three opportunities to work his way to the front, Bennett will hit the track Wednesday in an unconventional race week schedule.
“As a racer, you always look forward to finishing the season strong and that is what I intend to do this weekend at COTA,” explained Bennett. “While my 2023 plans have not yet materialized, my focus is 100% on this weekend and finishing the season strong.”
Bennett added, “I learned a lot a couple of weeks ago in Europe and look to transfer some of that newfound knowledge and experiences into race results.”
Bennett and Gonella Racing will hit the track Wednesday for practice and qualifying before Thursday brings the first two wheel-to-wheel action of the weekend. Closing his 2022 campaign Friday, Carl Bennett will have another chance to top the podium blocks Friday with the final checkered flag of the season that afternoon.
