Jacob Loomis leads F4 U.S. Practice at COTA for the Mission Foods Austin SpeedTour

AUSTIN, Texas (November 2, 2022) – Making his first start of 2022, Jacob Loomis led practice for Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.) at Circuit of The Americas (COTA). Driving the No. 24 Velocity Racing Development (VRD) Ligier JS F4, Loomis’ primary goal this week is to secure points and help VRD win the Team Points Championship. Recording a lap time of 2:15.034, Loomis was just 0.145-seconds quicker than Bryson Morris in the No. 39 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4. Morris is currently seven points out of the lead for the Driver Points Championship.

Championship contenders Ryan Shehan (No. 66 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4) and Noah Ping (No. 65 VRD Ligier JS F4) were third and fourth quick in practice, followed by Gabriel Fonseca (No. 76 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4), who rounded out the top five. Championship points leader Lochie Hughes was seventh in practice, 0.860-seconds behind the leader.
