November 1, 2022 – With the final F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda event on the horizon, the Jay Howard Driver Development program enters the weekend with a shot at the title. Leading the quintet of drivers into the famed Circuit of the Americas, Australian Lochie Hughes looks to secure the team’s first F4 Championship this coming weekend.
“It has been a good year for us on the F4 side of the program with Lochie winning a bunch of races and all of our drivers scoring championship points throughout the season,” expressed Howard. “We have been able to put Lochie in a position to challenge for the title and in the end, we need to have a strong event in Texas, and we can finish the season on top.”
While Hughes, on the strength of four wins and eight podium results, leads the five-driver program into Austin, Texas, Michael Boyiadzis, Seth Brown, Earl Tucker, and Al Morey will also fly the JHDD colors. Set to take on the 20-turn, 3.427-mile facility, JHDD drivers will hit the track on Wednesday for official practice before qualifying and wheel-to-wheel racing takes the green flag over Thursday and Friday.
JHDD drivers will begin the finale event on Wednesday with a pair of practice sessions and qualifying. Thursday will be the home of the first two races while Friday will provide one more opportunity for wheel-to-wheel action.
