Matt Christensen Secures F4 U.S. Pole at NOLA Motorsports Park

AVONDALE, La. (April 9, 2022) - Matt Christensen, driver of the No. 45 Velocity Racing Development Ligier JS F4 secured the pole position at NOLA Motorsports Park for the opening weekend of Formula 4 United States Championship powered by Honda’s 2022 race season. Christensen recorded 1:40.383-second lap, besting his closest competitor by 0.228-seconds. Noah Ping, Christensen’s Velocity Racing Development teammate and driver of the No. 65 Ligier JS F4, was second with a 1:40.611.

 

The top five was rounded out by Bryson Morris (No. 39 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4), Lochie Hughes (No. 6 Jay Howard Driver Development / CSU One Cure / Lucas Oil / Pelican Ligier JS F4) and Ryan Shehan (No. 66 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport).

 

Lights out for F4 U.S.’s Race 1 is at 12:30 p.m. local time, a fan walk will proceed at 11:50 a.m.
