Lucas Fecury Joins Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport and Will Start His Season This Weekend
April 6, 2022 – Born in Brazil, Lucas Fecury has joined the Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport program and will begin his season this weekend at the famed NOLA Motorsports Park. Set to contest in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, Fecury is making his open wheel racing debut and will look to follow in the footsteps and earn success like many other Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport drivers have in the past.

“I am excited to graduate from karts to cars and to have the ability to compete with such a high level program in my rookie season,” explained Fecury. “I know I have a great team behind me and a solid group of teammates. The goal is to learn and gain experience, but as a racing driver, at the end of the weekend the ultimate goal is to stand atop the podium. We had a great test here last week, so confidence is very high heading into the race weekend.”

Born in São Luís, Maranhão, in the north region of Brazil, without big tradition in motorsport, Fecury is hoping that his fray into American motorsports will help pave the way for many other enthusiasts from the popular Brazilian region. As a former Brazilian Kart Champion in 2020 and the Vice-Champion of the popular ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour in 2021, Fecury is no stranger to winning.

Fecury added, “I have chosen F4 as the first step into what I hope is a long career in motorsports. I want to be an INDYCAR driver and am working day and night to make that happen. There are several other Brazilian drivers who have had incredible careers, and I hope that I can be as successful as them.”

Lucas Fecury will kick off his 2022 F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda season this Friday with a pair of practice sessions at NOLA Motorsports Park. Saturday will feature qualifying and the first wheel-to-wheel racing of the season before rounds two and three go green on Sunday.
