Team Crosslink Brings Five Drivers to F4 and FR Opener at Road Atlanta

Split squad sees Team Crosslink in Louisiana and Georgia

With the first quarter of 2021 nearly complete and Team Crosslink already competing in a handful of karting events, the Texas based program is set for their first split squad program of the season. With a large contingent of drivers at the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) event at NOLA Motorsports Park, Team Crosslink will enter three drivers at the first F4 United States Championship and a pair of entrants in the first FR Americas Championship event this weekend at Road Atlanta.

“It is a busy time, but we would not have it any other way,” explained Sean Owens, Manager of the growing Team Crosslink program. “We have a trio of rookies in F4 as well as a rookie in FR, but we have a long-term program for these drivers. The team will be led by 2019 F4 champion Josh Car, but we are expecting strong runs for all of our drivers.”

Claiming the 2019 F4 championship, Car will be joined by multi-time 2020 F4 race winner Dylan Tavella as the duo will aim towards the front of the grid in the FR ranks in 2021. Ryan Shehan, the first Team Crosslink F4 driver announced back in December, has had numerous test days in his Ligier JSF4 and should contend in the front half of the field as he will be joined by Chase Gardner and Trevor Russell who complete the five-driver program.

Owens added, “We have a Promoters Test Day on Thursday to familiarize our drivers with the challenging Road Atlanta layout before wheel-to-wheel actions begins Friday. We can’t wait to get started.”
