Kiwi Motorsport Adds Viktor Andersson to 2021 Driver Lineup

Podium winner from 2020 ready for full season program

January 27, 2021 – With a new race season on the horizon, Kiwi Motorsport is pleased to announce Viktor Andersson to their 2021 driver lineup. A former competitor in the Nordic Formula Renault 1.6 program, Andersson joined Kiwi Motorsport at the final event on the 2020 calendar at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) driving to a third-place podium result for the team as they swept the top three positions on the race weekend.

Joining the team for 2021 will be Swedish driver Viktor Andersson. Most recently competing in the Formula Nordic Championship in 2019, Andersson was able to successfully finish the season in second place overall and first in the junior category. Andersson is the son of previous Indy Lights driver Mattias Andersson, who competed in a few races in 1998. Now, Viktor is ready to follow in his father’s footsteps and travel to the United States to try his hand in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda.

“I am super excited to be going with Kiwi Motorsport for the 2021 Championship,” explained Viktor Andersson. “Everyone on the team worked hard to help and guide me at COTA last year and out of the transporter the car was fast, and I can’t wait to get going for the full season. 25 years ago, my father Mattias raced in the US Indy Lights series with Mo Larsen (father of owner, Teena Larsen) as his chief mechanic and now Mo helps me on my race car. A great bit of racing history.”

Arriving in Texas from Sweden a couple of days before the COTA event in 2020, Viktor adapted to the car and track very quickly being fastest in Friday’s final practice finishing the weekend on the podium in third. Viktor also finished second overall in the 2020 F4 United States Championship Esports Series.
