Open Wheel Track Day at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course Organized by Alliance Racing

With tracks opening up around the country, Alliance Racing has jumped at the opportunity to reserve May 27th and 28th at the challenging Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. With the dates becoming available due to the cancellation of the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Alliance Racing is organizing a two-day test for competitors in the F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, FR Americas Powered by Honda and any other open wheel teams and competitors that would like to attend.

"We want to do our part to kickstart the motorsports community and help our team and drivers, as well as our competitors, get back on track and get ready for the start of the 2020 season," explained Toney Edwards. "Our goal is to get the price down to below $1000.00 per day to make it affordable for all involved."

With on track days set for the 27th and 28th, teams and drivers interested getting on one of North America's most challenging road courses are asked to reserve their spot by contacting Toney Edwards by the end of the day on Wednesday, May 20th. At that point, prices will be set based on the car count and a payment request will be issued on the 21st. All payments will need to be received to Alliance Racing before the end of the day on Friday, May 22nd.

"We need to move quicker than normal on confirming drivers for multiple different reasons including insurance as well as social distancing guidelines recommended by facility officials," added Edwards. "Additionally, we will be using the SCCA new set of guidelines that will be required at future events to ensure teams and competitors are ready for the first event of the season. Essentially we are testing both on and off the track, you could say."
