Fresh off of his Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda rookie season, Canadian Ryan MacDermid is set to return to his karting roots. Competing in the X30 Senior class at the annual Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SuperNationals, MacDermid will join forces with Ryan Perry Motorsports for the prestigious event.

"It was a good first year in cars, but I am excited to get back and compete in Las Vegas during the annual SKUSA SuperNationals," explained MacDermid. "Karting has been such a big part of my life, so it will be great to see friends as well as compete at the highest level of karting in North America. It's also an awesome way to stay sharp and in shape for 2020."

Set to compete aboard a Ryan Perry Motorsports branded OTK Tony Kart chassis and utilizing power from TruTech Engines, MacDermid will aim towards the front of one of the biggest fields in North American karting. A victor in multiple temporary circuit events in the past, the Canadian is hoping that his experience together with his skills and aggression come to the forefront as he aims for the designation of the 2019 X30 Senior SKUSA SuperNationals Champion.

MacDermid added, "It has been a while since I have been in a competitive karting event, but I can't thank Ryan Perry and his Ryan Perry Motorsports program enough for the opportunity."

With on track action set to commence Wednesday morning, Ryan MacDermid will hit the track for four practice sessions in the split schedule format. Thursday will be an important day as three practice sessions will lead into qualifying with the first wheel-to-wheel taking place on Friday. With a total of three heat races, last chance qualifiers will run Saturday afternoon and set the grid for Super Sunday.
