After a pole position and two podium finishes, Gui Peixoto looks for his first win at Sebring

The Brazilian is excited to compete in the circuit and wants to approach the top three in the championship standings

After conquering his first pole position in the category and reaching the podium twice (two third places) in the last round in Mid-Ohio, the Brazilian Guilherme Peixoto is looking forward to accelerate his Formula 4 United States Powered by Honda car once again. The goal for the upcoming round, which will take place this weekend (14 and 15) in Sebring, Florida (USA), is to fight for new podiums and the dreamed first victory.

The round will have again three races and the circuit will be a new track for Peixoto, who races for DEForce Racing team with the F4 # 99. The promoters tests will start on Thursday (12), with two 30-minute sessions. On Friday (13), there are two free practices and the qualifying. On Saturday, there will be two races (9 am and 1 pm EDT). The round will be finalized with the third race on Sunday (10.30 am EDT).

“The expectations are the best possible. We come strong from the past round where we got good results. There’s still some work to do, but I believe that in Sebring we have a good chance of reaching the top spot”, said the 16-year-old driver.

“Sebring is a track that no team has raced before, which is good for me as a rookie. I'm going to do a two-day simulator work at All in Sports in Miami, and we'll do our best to try this first win. The goal is also to get closer to the third place in the championship”, added the driver, who is sixth among the more than 20 drivers championship standings. The Brazilian has also scored points in 11 of the 12 races so far.

Between the rounds of the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, Gui competed in go-kartings in Brazil for the Brazilian Rotax Championship, and was the champion in the Max Senior category. As a prize, he secured a place for the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, which will take place in October in Italy.
