Tavella looks to turn speed into a race win in Virginia
Showing great speed through his 2019 Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, Alliance Racing Sponsored by Gas Monkey Energy driver Dylan Tavella is aiming for his first series win. Set to take on the Virginia International Raceway (VIR) this coming weekend, Tavella and his No. 14 RideWithDylan.com entry will be gunning for the top step of the podium as the series passes the halfway mark.
"We have had a good year up until now, but it is time to push harder and bring Alliance Racing, Gas Monkey Energy and myself our first wins," explained Tavella. "Our pace is there and my race craft is definitely better than last season, it's just a matter of putting everything together when it counts."
Tavella continued, "VIR is a track that I enjoy very much, and we had some decent runs here in 2018. I am confident that we can pull through and show our true strength."
Joining Alliance Racing Sponsored by Gas Monkey Energy late in 2018, Tavella has grown leaps and bounds as a driver both on and off the track. Working with the other four drivers in the program and with multiple race results in the top-five, the young New Yorker currently sits seventh in the overall point standings, but will look to improve on that this weekend.
