Alliance Racing Sponsored by Gas Monkey Energy Set to Make a Splash at VIR

Five drivers ready for the Virginia International Raceway

Fresh off a solid event weekend at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex a month ago, Alliance Racing Sponsored by Gas Monkey Energy is set to get back at it this weekend in Virginia. Ready to take on the Virginia International Raceway (VIR), the Indianapolis based squad will remain with a driver lineup that is unchanged from recent events as they aim for the top step of the podium.

"VIR is one of those places that you look forward to all season long," explained Toney Edwards. "The track is a real driver's track, but also requires a good setup. Our crew will be put to the test, but from where we were last year to date this season, we are quite happy."

F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda sophomore driver Dylan Tavella leads the way for the team on the strength of several top-five results. Currently seventh in points, Alliance Racing has three drivers in the top-ten with rookie Ryan MacDermid and Chandler Horton in ninth and tenth respectively. MacDermid is coming off of his best race weekend to date as he continues to show consistent and steady progress while Chandler Horton looks to put Pittsburgh behind him and focus on the upcoming event weekend.

Female driver Zoey Edenholm will pilot the Gas Monkey Energy Tropical car while Will Edwards is back behind the wheel of the #28. Throughout the season, both competitors have shown great progress as they continue to decrease lap times and move up the grid. With goals set for all five drivers, the Alliance Racing Sponsored by Gas Monkey team will be looking for their best weekend to date.

With official practice set to begin on Friday, Saturday will be the home of the one and only qualifying session of the weekend and race one. With lap times setting the grid for race two Sunday morning, race three will also take place Sunday afternoon.
