Brazilian driver Kiko Porto (Petromega / BF / DE Force Racing / Speed Group) returns for his first full season in the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda with DEForce Racing. Speeding down the U.S. tracks in the Ligier JS F4 car, Porto joined the largest F4 championship in the world mid-way through the 2018 season. After scoring points in multiple races during his rookie season, the 2019 season promises to be his claim in the F4 U.S. Championship.
Before the season officially begins in April, Porto is testing in the United States with the goal to get back to the competition mindset and on pace as soon as possible after almost two months without piloting an F4.
"This will be a very difficult season, with many good drivers already with a lot of experience in Formula 4," said Porto. "But I hope to achieve the evolution that I need to get my first podium in the American category. I am climbing one step at a time to give way in my career. God willing, let's make a good year and achieve my goals and help my team."
In his rookie season, Porto finished in the top-10 in five of the eight races he competed in, receiving five points in the championship.
