Dakota Dickerson Honored at FIA Prize Giving Gala in Russia

The 2018 season culminated for Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda champion Dakota Dickerson on Friday evening as the up-and-coming star was honored on the same stage as Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton during the FIA Prize Giving Ceremony at the Grand Hall of the historic Philharmonia in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

The star-studded, year-end event celebrates the achievements of the FIA championship-winning drivers and teams from around the world.

Highlights of Dickerson’s evening meeting some of his racing heroes, walking the red carpet surrounded by adoring fans, networking with industry professionals and being seated next to the other F4 champion’s from around the world during dinner.

"Traveling to Russia to receive the Championship trophy for winning the F4 U.S. Championship is something I'll remember for the rest of my life,” Dickerson said. “Not only did I get to meet some of my racing heroes at the prize giving ceremony, I was able to visit many amazing landmarks in the Saint Petersburg area with my mother. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity and am working hard to make sure we are able to attend next year’s event by winning the F3 Americas Championship."
