Kiko Porto Debuts in F4 U.S with DEForce Racing

The persistence and focus of building a career are fundamental in any profession, and in auto racing it’s no different. In pursuit of the dream of becoming a successful professional racer, the Brazilian Kiko Porto (Petromega / BF /Force / Speed Racing Group) is ready to take the next step in this direction. This week, he officially premieres in the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda, piloting the No. 23 DEForce Racing machine. Porto accelerated on the tarmac at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, approximately 39-miles from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a two-day test earlier in the week before he makes his debut Aug. 3-5.

Before reaching the United States, the Brazilian racer competed in two races at the Mexican Championship, winning two podiums. Now he hopes to have the same success in America.

"Competing in Mexico gave me the opportunity to adapt to the car, and have great races with many good pilots before I came here," commented Porto."In the championship here in the United States, there are more cars on the grid and pilots from all over the world. It will be a great opportunity to learn even more. So I'm really excited to do a good job, help my team and if God wants it, to have great results in the future."

Porto will participate in two free practices on Friday with qualifying on Saturday morning. The first race of the weekend starts Saturday afternoon with the final two races both held on Sunday. The full weekend schedule can be found at www.F4USChampionshipcom.
