Lucas Oil Formula Car Series Championship Runner-Up Signs F4 Deal

Chris Archinaco Returns to F4 U.S. under Century Auto Racing

Century Auto Racing announced today that Chris Archinaco of Pittsburgh will return for his sophomore Formula 4 United Sates Championship Powered by Honda season under its multi-championship-winning program. The 2016 Lucas Oil Formula Car Series Championship Runner-Up makes his debut with the Florida-based team April 27-29 at Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia.

“I’m excited to be back in F4 this year and part of Century Auto Racing’s maiden season," said Archinaco. "Geoff Bushor and his team bring championship-winning experience to the series and my goal is to help them win their first in F4. I’ve been working with PitFit Training in Indianapolis over the winter break and they’ve put me in the best condition possible. I’m eager to go racing and put it to use.”

The second driver to sign with Century Auto for a full 2018 F4 season, Archinaco joins teammate Matt Cowley, as they battle for the championship title.

"It's great to have Matt Cowley as a teammate. We get along really well and I know he'll be one of the top drivers this year in the championship. So, to have him as a teammate is great motivation and a big advantage," said Archinaco. "I'm confident heading into the season. We've made a lot of progress on car setup and my driving in pre-season testing and I know all the hard work will pay off when we head to VIR for the opening race weekend."

Century Auto Racing is one of the newest F4 U.S. multi-car teams to enter the 2018 season. The team is owned and operated by Team Pelfrey's Geoff Bushor. Bushor's long resume includes working with a championship-winning IndyCar team, engineering internationally with Team USA in the A1GP series and successfully running F1600 cars for the last five years for three championships, 39 wins and 133 podiums.

“We’re excited to have Chris as a member of Century Auto Racing. His positive attitude and dedication to bettering himself will be the perfect addition to our team,” said Bushor. “Chris has a fun, high-energy attitude that makes him a pleasure to be around and always an interesting driver to have a conversation with.”
