Eves Commits to Jay Howard's MDD for Full 2018 Season

Braden Eves will take to the track for the first time in 2018 in the official Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda test at Motor Speedway Resort (MSR) Houston this weekend as he looks to gain valuable seat time and experience going into his first full season of F4 U.S. racing. The rookie sensation made his debut in car racing with F4 U.S. at Indianapolis in 2017 and won in his next weekend attempt at Circuit of the Americas.

“I am excited to get back into the car. I want to keep developing myself as a driver and keep learning from my coach and engineer,” said Eves. “With the amount of success we had with limited testing and only attending three race weekends last year, I am looking forward to the first race of 2018 in Virginia.”

The F4 U.S. Championship will host six race weekends. The season opener is at Virginia International Raceway, then to Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, Pittsburgh International Race Complex, New Jersey Motorsports Park, ending the season at Circuit of the Americas with Formula 1.

Eves will continue his partnership with long-time coach Jay Howard and his Motorsport Driver Development team (MDD). Eves worked his way up from karting to F4 with MDD and will remain with the team for the full 2018 season.

“I would like to thank Jay Howard’s Driver Development, Community Choice Financial, and Addison Holdings LLC for making this possible,” Eves said.

An anticipated 15-20 drivers are expected to attend the first of three official series' season tests.
