Leguizamon Partners with D1 Sports Training

Baltazar Leguizamon of Buenos Aires, Argentina, will carry new sponsorship on his No. 45 car for the next round of the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda. D1 Sports Training has joined Leguizamon in time for the series’ next stop Aug. 10-12 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

Based in Franklin, Tennessee, D1 Sports Training has over 50 locations nationwide that provide elite-level, athletic-based fitness training to athletes of all ages and abilities. D1 Sports franchises are owned by current or former college and professional athletes. Indianapolis native and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jeff Teague will be opening a new D1 Sports Training facility Aug. 20 in Indianapolis.

“I am thrilled to have D1 Sports Training joining us for the Mid-Ohio weekend,” said Bruce Bohlander, Leguizamon’s manager. “D1 Sports Training is quickly growing as a national brand, which leads to endless possibilities in terms of our partnership with them.”

D1 Sports Training-Columbus will also have a presence at Mid-Ohio, staffing a promotions tent in the F4 U.S. paddock from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. this Friday. Race fans who stop by can learn more about D1 Sports Training, and can pick up a postcard for a free, two-week adult membership.

“I am really happy to have D1 Sports as a new sponsor,” Leguizamon said. “They are opening a new facility in Indianapolis this month where I will train. The program D1 has developed for racing athletes is incredible and very challenging.”

Leguizamon wants to remind fans to also ask about D1 Sports Training-Columbus’ “Burn It 2 Earn It” weight-loss competition, an eight-week (Sept. 11-Nov. 7) contest that awards the winner $1,000 or a one-year membership.

“D1 Sports Training-Columbus is excited to be partnering with Baltazar for the F4 U.S. weekend at Mid-Ohio,” said D1 Sports Training-Columbus VP of Operations and General Manager Brian Mohr. “We have a lot of exciting things going on at D1 Sports Training, and it will be a great opportunity for us to get involved with the local racing community while also reaching out and spreading the word for D1.”

An exciting weekend is on tap for F4 U.S., as 32 cars will be on hand when the series takes to the track for the first time on Thursday.
