Caleb Campbell Goes Back to Back in F4 U.S. at NOLA Season Opener

AVONDALE, La. (April 11, 2026) – Caleb Campbell went two for two on Saturday at NOLA Motorsports Park in Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) competition.

Notes of Interest:

  • Caleb Campbell earned his second win of 2026, taking the victory in Race 2 at NOLA Motorsports Park.
  • Zach Fourie captured second in Race 2, with Campbell and Fourie finishing back to back in both of Saturday’s races.
  • Rookie driver Cole Medeiros earned his first-career podium with a third-place result.

After setting the fastest lap in Race 1, Campbell (No. 68 Steele Auto Group / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422) led the field to the green. He faced an early challenge from both Gastón Irazú (No. 27 Elia Group / Baly / Canal 4 / Ancap / Champagne Racing Ligier JS F422) and Zach Fourie (No. 15 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F422). Irazú, the 2025 Ligier JFC champion, briefly took the lead and the three raced nose to gearbox. While hurrying through Turn 13, Irazú lost control, spinning on the circuit and collecting Clemente Huerta Raab (No. 17 Velox USA / Speed Factory Ligier JS F422) to bring an early end to both of their races.

Campbell regained the race lead while Fourie remained in his mirrors. The two drivers spent the final 20 minutes of the race within a few car lengths of each other, but Campbell refused to give up the race lead. As they crossed the finish line, it was Campbell, followed by Fourie, with rookie Cole Medeiros (No. 77 MLT Motorsports Ligier JS F422) rounding out the top three.

“This is awesome—I’m so happy,” said Campbell after climbing from the car. “What a great start to the season. We’ll see what we can do tomorrow. A clean sweep would be pretty cool. Zach [Fourie] was really going for it. He kept a crazy pace and was right behind me the entire race. He was doing an amazing job, and keeping me focused. It was a really good race. I’d like to thank all my sponsors—Steele Auto Group, Levante Living, Invictus Academy, Torpedo Rays, Kids Help Phone, and just everyone who's supporting me.”

F4 U.S. will contest their final race of the Racing America at NOLA weekend tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. CT. Live timing and scoring will be available on Race Monitor with additional news and updates posted on the series’ FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
