Fast Five with Hannah Greenemeier

Hannah Greenemeier entered the Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) scene as an accomplished karter. The first female in SKUSA history to win the X-30 ProTour Championship class, as well as the first female in SKUSA history to win an X30 ProTour race, Greenemeier moved up to F4 U.S. after initially getting a taste of single-seater racecars at the Lucas Oil Racing School and the 2022 W Series test. Earning her first-career point with a top-10 finish in Round 12 at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Greenemeier went on to have a breakthrough weekend at VIRginia International Raceway, where she earned three more top 10s in her No. 74 Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F4 and recorded a career-best sixth-place finish in Round 14.

Where are you from and what's your favorite thing about where you're from?

Hannah Greenemeier (HG): “I'm from Parker, Colorado, and I like the mountains. I think they’re really pretty. I live outside of town, but every day I drive into town and I get to take in that view. I really enjoy that.”

When and how did you decide that you wanted to race, and how did you work your way up to F4 U.S.?

HG: “I decided that I wanted to race when my dad got me a little kid kart when I was four. I started racing officially when I was five, and then I just kind of worked my way up through the karting ladder. I won some national championships, and then F4 U.S. was the next step in the progression.”

Who's your racing idol and why do you look up to them?

HG: “My racing idol is either Michael Schumacher or Sebastian Vettel. They're both great drivers who won multiple world championships, and I think that they're good people, in general.”

If you could only drive one racetrack for the rest of your life, which track would you want it to be?

HG: “That's a hard one. I really like New Jersey Motorsports Park. It's really nice and flowy, so I think that would be a good track to drive all the time.”

Alternatively, what is the track that you dream of racing on?

HG: “I think it would be fun to go race on Silverstone or any F1 track would be pretty fun.”

Tell me about one race that really sticks out to you from your career – either your best race or just one where the circumstances made it that you'll never forget it.

HG: “One that probably stands out to me was my 2021 SKUSA Pro Tour Summer Nationals. We were behind in the championship and I knew that I had to be pretty much perfect to win it. My team and I had to work through some challenges—I got hit off the track and some stuff like that. At the end of the weekend, we came out on top, so that was a defining moment in my career.”
