Amethyst Beverage Supports Dakota Dickerson in HPD Test and FP4 Event at Buttonwillow Raceway Park

Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda driver Dakota Dickerson of San Diego took his talents to the west coast with his new partner Amethyst Beverage this week at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in Buttonwillow, California. Dickerson was selected by Honda Performance Development to test adjustments made to the F4 car’s Honda Civic Type R engine and participate in the Formula Pro USA (FP4) race event.

"We are very appreciative to have Dakota and Amethyst Beverage helping us test at Buttonwillow,” said HPD Commercial Motorsports Manager Jeff Barrow. “His experience and feedback are very valuable.”

Dickerson remained the only F4 U.S. driver selected to participate in the two-day HPD test.

“I am very excited and honored to be able to participate in the testing program with Honda HPD at Buttonwillow this week,” said Dickerson. “Being able to collaborate with Honda HPD and the SCCA is something that I’m greatly appreciative of, and I’ll be making the most of this fantastic opportunity. I can’t thank Amethyst Beverage enough for helping out with sponsorship and I’m looking forward to the possibilities that the future may hold with them”

After completing the HPD test, Dickerson stayed in Buttonwillow to enter Round 3 and Round 4 of the Formula Pro USA Western Championship. The series is affiliated with the SCCA Pro Racing F4 program and uses the same Ligier JS F4 chassis and Honda Civic Type R engine as the F4 U.S. Championship. FP4 also competes on the same weekends as Sports Car Club of America club and non-club events on the west coast.

“SCCA Pro is glad that F4 U.S. drivers are taking the opportunity to  integrate into the Formula Pro USA series,” said SCCA Pro Vice President Steve Oseth. “FP4 was designed to attract drivers on the west coast to F4. Dakota’s entry will give the FP4 racers a good look at a strong F4 U.S. Championship driver and hopefully attract more entries for the 2018 F4 U.S. season.”

Dickerson will pilot the silver No. 77 Exclusive MotorWorks Racing car supported by World Speed Motorsports and Amethyst Beverage.

“We are very excited to have Dakota testing and running with us this weekend,” Formula Pro USA President Brent Morgan said. “On the last day of practice, Dakota and fellow competitor Kyle Loh, pushed each other to achieve their fastest times of the day. We are very excited to see what the rest of the weekend holds.”

Throughout the event, Dickerson’s hydration will be monitored by Amethyst Beverage to help record data on how its water recovers athletes’ bodies after enduring strenuous situations.

“Amethyst is very happy have Dakota as our driver.” Amethyst Beverage CEO Jeff Flasco said. “We are fully committed to take Dakota to the next level. Dakota is working in a partnership with Amethyst Beverage by recording data that shows how our water hydrates and helps the body recover quicker than just ordinary water. Amethyst uses a high Alkaline base water combined with fulvic acid, enriched ionic minerals and a unique flavoring which contains no sugars. This makes Amethyst Beverage Water a stand-alone in the water industry.”

Amethyst Beverage is the newest specialty health beverage, taking water to the next level.  Amethyst, with its trade-secret formula, was designed to rehydrate the body up 37 percent faster with the addition of 70 ionic minerals, fulvic acid and a 9.5+ alkaline.
